What services do you provide?
Impactive provides personalized learning plans based on a proprietary, detailed questionnaire filled out by students. Our services include a free summary report and a comprehensive personalized learning plan.
How does the process work?
The process involves four main steps: the student submits a questionnaire, our team reviews the information, we send a free summary report to the student, and then the student may purchase the full personalized learning plan.
Is the questionnaire mandatory?
Yes, the questionnaire is essential as it helps us understand the student's unique needs and challenges, allowing us to create a tailored learning plan.
What is included in the free summary report?
The free summary report provides an overview of the student's strengths, areas for improvement, and a summary narrative discussing the student's learning profile, and the contents of and strategy behind the learning plan.
How detailed is the full learning plan?
The full learning plan is comprehensive and includes specific strategies, recommendations, and accommodations tailored to the student's learning style and needs. You review example learning plans here: Sample Learning Plans
How long does it take to receive the learning plan?
After submitting the questionnaire, the summary report is typically sent within 1-2 business days, and the full personalized learning plan is available for purchase thereafter.
Is there any cost for the services?
The summary report is free, and there is a $99 fee for the full learning plan.
What academic accommodations will be included in my learning plan?
Each learning plan is tailored to the student's unique needs, including the strategies, recommendations and any accommodations that can address their specific learning challenges. While we cannot guarantee that your learning plan will include any proposed accommodations, your free summary report includes a summary narrative discussing your learning profile, and the contents of and strategy behind the full learning plan.
What types of academic accommodations do colleges offer? There is a wide range of academic accomodations offered by colleges. Typically, the academic accommodations offered to students will fall under one or more of the following categories: (1) Testing Accommodations (eg. extended time, assistive technology, etc.); (2) Classroom Accommodations (eg. note-taking assistance, preferential seating, etc.); (3) Assignment Modifications (eg. extended deadlines, modified assignments, etc.); or (4) Support Services (eg. tutoring, mentoring, etc.). Here's a list of the academic accommodations offered by many popular colleges around the country: College Academic Accommodations
How do I get the academic accommodations recommended in my learning plan?
Many colleges have student academic resource centers (often called "student", "learning", or academic "support" or "success" centers) that engage with students to help address any academic needs and challenges they may have. Typically, these centers will review the student's learning plan, including recommended accommodations, to determine what academic accommodations to implement for the student. Colleges usually publish the types of accommodations they tend to implement, and the process students seeking accommodations must follow, on their websites and/or student portals. Some colleges do not have formal processes for implementing accommodations and will consider individual requests for accommodations on a case-by-case basis. We encourage students to learn about their colleges' academic resource policies and procedures to understand how to secure the academic accommodations and support they need.
Will my professors implement the learning plan?
While we provide a comprehensive plan with recommendations tailored to each student’s needs, it's important to understand that the decision to use all or any part of the plan rests with the college’s policies and professors. The implementation and success of the plan depend on various factors, including the discretion of the student's educators and the specific educational environment. We encourage you to share the plan with your professors and discuss how it can be integrated into your learning experience. Open communication with your professors will help ensure that you receive the support you need.
